I’ve decided to stop including the Amazon.com summary in the body of my reviews. It just makes the entry so much longer than it need to be. I’ll still include the link, though.
I’m thinking of deleting the summaries from all of my previous entries. Any preferences?
Maybe pick one or two salient points in Amazon’s review to compare and contrast your own thoughts to?
BTW…these pages have one of the cooler background images I’ve seen on WP blogs. Interesting & subtle, not flashy & distracting.
Phos, Thanks for the comment. Comparing the summary with my review is an interesting idea, but I want to make sure I keep this fun and easy. As soon as it seems like too much work (like a book report), I won’t enjoy reviewing the books anymore. I will think about this idea, though. Maybe there is a way to incorporate the Amazon summary, or I can start doing a better job of summarizing the books.
Also, thanks for the compliment. I wanted something simple that looked “bookish” (though this looks more “inkish”). I can’t take full credit… I found this free online! There are some beautiful WordPress designes out there.
