The wife and I are heading out on a hot date tonight…Or at least we’re going out to see Les Miserables at the Orpheum tonight, so I’m jumping in early with a quick post for you.
The last time I saw the show was at the Ordway probably 18 or 19 years ago, and at that, we got rush tickets and ended up standing behind the seating in the top balcony for the entire show (which, if I remember was somewhere around 2 1/2 or 3 hours long). It was a good show, but holy jeebus my feet hurt the next morning.
This time, we’ve got actual seats. Main floor, thank you. Of course, they cost substantially more than those standing room rush tickets cost way back when…I think the show back then cost us all of $16 total. Even with my discount, that might not pay for the program at this show. I’m old…Inflation is killing me…
Of course, back in those days, we didn’t have kids…Or a babysitter. At least, that’s what Patrick will be for the evening. Hopefully he won’t expect any pay.
I’ll be back with you in full tomorrow…Assuming I can come up with something to write about…
See you tomorrow.
