Timing

Jenni and I have decided, for a variety of reasons, to go for a while eliminating dairy and meat and such for a week or two. Just to see how we feel–if it makes us feel “better” or healthier at the end of that time.

It’ll be a bit of a challenge, trying to cut things out and just rely on vegetables for the main part of meals, but it’s something I’ve wanted to try for a while. My body seems to have a love-hate relationship with meat: I really want some, but then when I have it, portions of me occasionally revolt as a result. We’ll see how I do with this experiment.

Of course, there is next Friday looming–the annual trek to the State Fair, for which the diet will be damned and our bodies may completely curse us as a result. But that, I think, is part of this experiment: to see what our bodies do without some foods, and then what they do when the food is reintroduced. Granted, reintroducing dairy or something like that at the fair might not be the smartest move, but it’s all in the timing.

I’ll let you know what I make and how things go.

See you tomorrow.
