I can’t remember being so excited to be on vacation.

Today was the last day at work for me for over a week. I will return the Tuesday after Labor Day, just as the household returns to their various schools.

I didn’t get everything done that I wanted to get done before my vacation, and achieving that would simply have been impossible, so I’m going to try not to worry about it and enjoy my time off. I have some plans, some things I’d like to do and accomplish. Those will come.

But it dawned on me just how much I needed to get away and retool. I needed to not be at work, for a whole myriad of reasons. It’s been a tiring year at work, and it shows no signs of stopping.

So as I begin my time off, I’ll keep this blog entry light.

See you tomorrow.
