It’s finally the end of the week. Which means that as of 5 p.m. Friday, I’ll work really hard to forget about work.
It’s been a tough stretch: this last round of layoffs seems to have been the tipping point where the whole help desk can’t still overcome the workload, so different ideas are being tried and it’s stressing everyone out. Which, of course, isn’t fun. So when I walk out of the door at the end of the week, I just try to put it behind me and leave it alone until I walk back in on Monday.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
Friday is also family night around here, with time for a family board game, video game, movie or something. It’s always fun and a good excuse for us to just be a family. Sometimes I cook in, sometimes we eat out. But it’s always as a unit. That’s the fun part. And I think it helps combat some of the stress of the week…From work, school, or home.
Sorry there isn’t much to this, but 19 hours from now…I’ll be Fridaying…I’m anxious, I think.
See you later.
